Consolation Champ played their first show together in January of 2005 at the 400 Bar in Minneapolis. 380 performances in 37 states, 4 weddings, 11 children, and 6 dogs later, these balding buddies from Bloomington, Minnesota, continue to pursue good songs and good shows that move people.
Their latest album, Shorthand for a Long Walk, is meant to inspire reflection and creativity amid the demands of adulthood. Described by the Minnesota Star Tribune as “a collection of jangly dad pop” (the band takes this as a compliment), it's made up of earnest, catchy songs about the long walk of life.
